I think its about time to check out what has changed in kowloon city. It has changed quite a lot since I last visited this area – but there are some things that are still here like the various thai stores where they provide you with all the ingredients you would need to cook really nice thai food! especially my favorite tum yung soup!
One of my recommendations of where to stay at Koh Samui… my whole experience during our stay was great! nice staff and the hotel itself is really super nice! We were quite lucky that it didnt rain too much during our visit given that we went during the rainy season but it ended quite well!
Pretty cool to check out the zoos or see animals from time to time, we dont see much here in Hong Kong. We came here to watch the circus which is at night so quite cool … but need to make sure that the weather is good coz you wont really see much if it was raining…
A cool Christmas present I’ve received for 2012 – A super extravaganza show I’ve seen so far @ the City of Dreams in Macau! I must give it a thumbs up! The show was really nice and I couldn’t resist taking out my camera from my bag and take some good shots of it for memory! Well, the tickets were not cheap (HKD 880, around AUD 110) but it was really worth watching – the best thing was that the company paid for me and wife’s tickets:) which made the whole experience even more memorable! hurray!
A must try dish in Vietnam – Bun nem cua, this is the deep fried spring rolls with crab meat alongside with rice noodles. It’s really so good especially when you add a bit of chilli when you eat it! I love it!
Ok this is my favourite dishes when I was in Bali… all so yummy and delicious… and I think I put on few pounds too. But the whole eating experience is so good and I really enjoyed it very much.
This is one of most ‘must have’ cuisines in Bali… its their famous crispy duck which is the island’s cultural heritage. This dish is infused with a yellow Balinese spice and then deep fried till it becomes crispy – this normally comes along with rice and some veggies… That being said, I would suggest that you guys google the restaurant which is famous for this dish as the one I went to wasnt really that perfect… I just couldn’t resist the image on the menu that I had to order it! argh! Deep fried crispy chicken is also very famous in Bali…
So… this is where we have stayed… To be frank, the facilities are kind of old and obviously need some rennovation but the service was great and we had a great time. I had some initial complains about my room and the staff helped me changed to a nicer room downstairs which is connected to the pool. What I loved most about the hotel apart from the inifinity chapel where one of best friend’s got married… is the variety of restaurants! My favorite one is the one that is facing the beautiful beach… (I’ll share it on my next post!)
The thought of an animal eating the coffee cherry, pooping it out, cleaning the coffee bean, and then roasting it may sound a bit strange – especially when you love coffee. What on earth could it taste like? The result of all this work is a very flavorful almost fruity coffee that has very little bitterness… I bought some back home after the tasting but luckily didnt really get addicted to the taste… (maybe I’m not so much of a coffee at all… sigh)
This is chicken wrapped in deep fried sticky rice – this edible ball then gives out an attractive look with a think outer skin yet crunchy and chewy at the same time. This super yummy dish can be dipped and eaten along with rice-made dish as shrimp paste, grilled chicken!
